- Posing as someone from the bank and asking for the customer's data with specific reasons. This method is usually done by people who do not have specific knowledge or information about the world of banking, however this method is still an effective method.
How to secure yourself:
- Make sure you always access the Internet Banking via the official website address and click the LOGIN button or directly to the login page that has been provided.
- To avoid mistakes writing Bank's website address, you should store the address of the Bank’s site on the favorites or bookmarks menu. If you want to access Internet Banking on other occasions, you can simply choose from the favorites or bookmarks you have saved.
- Keep in mind that the true banks never send emails as described above to their customer. If you receive such an email that appears to be coming from your bank, then you should do two things below:
- Forward the email to your bank
- Delete the email.
- If you have already filled the requested information or feel that your User ID and PIN are already known by others, immediately contact your bank's customer service.
